Nicole Brown, MBA, CMPE

Nicole Brown, MBA, CMPE is the Regional Director of Orthopedics for Saint Alphonsus Health System. In her role, Nicole is accountable for working collaboratively with physicians and operational leaders across the health system to develop and execute strategies that support the mission of Saint Alphonsus and advance the musculoskeletal service line.

Nicole is a Boise native with 20 years of experience in healthcare. She earned her undergraduate degree from Boise State University in 1998 and later obtained her MBA in 2013. Nicole currently serves as President of the Idaho MGMA Board of Directors. She has been a member of MGMA and Idaho MGMA since 2007, and passed her CMPE exams in 2014.

Rachel Pugmire, MHS, FACMPE

Rachel Pugmire works as Senior Director of St. Luke's Idaho Cardiology Associates, St. Luke's Cardiothoracic and Vascular Associates, and St. Luke's Vein Care Clinic. Rachel began her healthcare career with St Luke’s in Boise, Idaho in 2002 in an entry-level position in Breast Care Services. She completed her Radiology Bachelor’s degree in 2005 from Boise State University and worked as an X-ray technologist while she completed her Bachelor’s in Nuclear Medicine from Weber State University. She joined the St Luke’s Idaho Cardiology team as a Nuclear Medicine technologist in 2006 and became the lead technologist in 2007. Rachel then became a Practice Manager for Cardiology Ancillary Services in 2013 and subsequently the Senior Director of Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Vascular Surgery in February 2017.

Rachel has a Masters of Health Science Leadership degree from Boise State University. She additionally became a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) in 2016 and will complete her Fellowship with the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACHE) in late 2017. In addition to being Immediate Past-President, Rachel has held various board positions with the Idaho Medical Group Management Association since 2013, including Conference Director and Education Director.

Katie Gries, MHA, CMPE

Katie Gries is the Practice Improvement Manager for the Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance, a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) serving independent and employed providers throughout the Treasure Valley and eastern Oregon. Her role allows her to work collaboratively with area providers to execute population health management processes, innovative care continuums, and team-based strategies in the primary care setting.

Katie began her career in healthcare as a receptionist for a local, independent practice. That experience provided the foundation for future opportunities in clinical research, billing and coding, clinic administration, and contract negotiations.

Dan Trube, MHA

Dan is the Administrator for the Idaho Arthritis Center. He is an experienced medical practice manager with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry. Dan’s expertise includes healthcare consulting, strategic planning, physician relations, and Medicare. He has significant knowledge as well regarding information technology as it relates to the healthcare environment. 

Dan obtained his Master’s degree focused in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and currently resides in the Treasure Valley.

Jesse Arnoldson, MBA

Communications Director 

Jesse is the Director of Client Strategies for MedMan (‘Medical Management, Inc.’).  In this role, Jesse is accountable for many of MedMan's advances in the practices' transition to value-based reimbursement, specifically guiding administrators and doctors through MACRA and MIPS. Additionally, Jesse serves the role of interim administrator when medical groups are experiencing transition with their management.

Prior to joining MedMan, Jesse owned a health insurance agency where he gained valuable knowledge of the Affordable Care Act provisions and payer reimbursement methods. Jesse obtained his Masters of Business Administration in 2015 from Idaho State University and also holds Bachelor’s degree in Spanish for Business and Professions. He lives in Meridian along with his wife and two children.

Cindy Hodges
Conference Director

Cindy Hodges is Human Resources Director for Saltzer Medical Group. Cindy has been part of the Saltzer Medical Group team for 20 years, and has held the position of Human Resources Director of their organization since 2000. She is also currently a member of the Nampa Chamber of Commerce, and is a previous Board Member of Canyon County Employers Association.

Cindy has been involved with Idaho MGMA for many years, serving as Communications Director from 2012 to 2014, and volunteering as a Conference Committee member since 2010. Cindy is looking forward to helping Idaho MGMA with conference planning activities.

Sara Lords is a Clinic Administrator for Primary Health Medical Group, where she manages the Downtown & South Meridian locations oversees the on-call schedule for approximately 300 front office and back office staff members. She has over four years of experience working in various capacities in healthcare prior to her current role. 

Sara graduated from Boise State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and later completed her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Colorado State University in 2016. Sara is excited to utilize her education, work experience, and excellent communication skills as the Education Director for Idaho MGMA.

Nikki Burroughs
Operations Director

Nikki is a Clinic Administrator for Primary Health Medical Group. In this role, Nikki is accountable for leading the daily operations of a medical clinic and its physicians and staff in the delivery of high quality care and service. Nikki also manages a clinic budget and is responsible for staff scheduling, continual training of and communication with existing staff, employee performance, clinic inventory, customer service, and implementing, monitoring, and refining processes to ensure her clinic runs as smoothly as possible. Nikki is already a demonstrated team player, working on a day-to-day basis with a large group of senior management, peers, and staff at Primary Health.

Prior to joining Primary Health Medical Group, Nikki worked as a District Manager for Starbucks, where she gained invaluable skills in human resource management, operations management, and customer service.

Tiffany Mecham, CMPE
ACMPE Forum Representative

Tiffany Mecham is the Administrator at Idaho Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PA. She is a Board Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) through the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Prior to being the administrator for Idaho Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, she was a Clinic Administrator for Primary Health Medical Group, and also a Clinic Manager for Idaho Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

A graduate of Idaho State University, Tiffany has a Bachelor of Healthcare Administration and a Minor in Business. She has been an active member of Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and Idaho MGMA for many years. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Andrea Robertson is the Practice Manager of Idaho Nephrology Associates. Andrea graduated from Brigham Young University and has over 25 years of experience in healthcare.

Andrea is a dietitian by trade and has an innate desire to help people improve their life with healthy living! She has worked in the field of nephrology for the last 15 years where she discovered her passion. She has been a member of MGMA and the Idaho MGMA since 2015.

Steven Sumter, MPA
Executive Director

Steven Sumter joined Idaho MGMA as Executive Director in April 2016. He also serves as Association Administrator for the Idaho Medical Association, and Executive Director of the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants. Previously, Steven began his career in October 2012 as Program Information Coordinator for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s Bureau of Rural Health and Primary Care, updating Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designations and providing assistance to medical, dental, and mental health practices with the National Health Service Corps and other state loan repayment programs for primary care providers.

Steven graduated from Boise State University in December 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and completed his Master of Public Administration degree in December 2015.
