MANAGING DIFFICULT PATIENT BEHAVIOR AND NON-COMPLIANCE

Difficult and non-compliant patients can cause disruption to a practice as well as contribute to poor outcomes for the patient. This presentation will identify causative factors that lead to this less-than-desirable behavior by patients. Strategies to assist the practice in managing these patients will be discussed including behavior contracts. If all else fails, the appropriate steps for discharging a patient from the practice will be reviewed.
