Brad Turpen is the Director of the St. Luke’s Sleep Medicine Institute and the Practice Manager for St. Luke’s Idaho Pulmonary Associates, a 14-provider pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine practice located in Boise. Brad attended the United States Air Force Academy, where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Management. While serving on Active Duty, Brad also earned a Masters in Business Administration degree from Utah State University.

Amy O’Brien is the Administrative Director of the Medical Practice Division of Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Currently, she has 18 providers in 7 specialties. Amy has been involved in three different hospital integrated delivery systems, in Kansas, Iowa and now Idaho. A native of Louisiana, she graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Central Missouri State University.

In Iowa, Amy was very involved with the “IMGMA” and served as the chair of the conference planning committee from 2004-2007.

Amy has been a member of IMGMA and MGMA since 2007.

Michelle Wier, CMPE is the CEO of Valley Medical Center, PLLC in Lewiston, ID. Valley Medical Center is a physician owned multi-specialty clinic with 34 providers, representing 6 specialties. Michelle has 16 years experience in medical practice management including nearly four years as an independent practice consultant. A native of Louisiana she served as Parish President for two local chapters of the LMGMA, was an active member of the LMGMA since 1998 and has been a member of the MGMA since 2003. Michelle graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Accounting. Michelle joined the Idaho MGMA in 2008.

Sharon is the Practice Administrator for Idaho Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PA located in Boise and Meridian Idaho. IPMR has two regional clinic locations and an Ambulatory Surgery Center. A graduate of the University of Alaska and Alaska Pacific University, Sharon has a Bachelor of Organization Management. She has been a healthcare executive for 25 years.

Sharon has been a member of MGMA since 1984 and a member of the Idaho MGMA since 2002. Sharon is a certified member of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. She is a life-time member and past president of the Alaska MGMA and a past chairman of the MGMA Pediatric Administration Assembly.

Steve Judy is the Director of Operations at Primary Health Medical Group. A graduate of Gonzaga University, Steve has degrees in Political Science and History. He began his career in politics, initially working for Senator Larry Craig, followed by Senator Dirk Kempthorne, and culminating in a term as Mayor of Coeur d'Alene. During his busy term as "part-time" Mayor, Steve also worked as the Physicians and Human Resources Director for North Idaho Immediate Care.

Since 2003, Steve has been with Primary Health Medical Group and during his tenure as Director of Operations, Steve has overseen the construction of several medical clinics and has implemented the successful transfer of the medical group from paper charts to electronic health records. He is responsible for 13 clinics, overseeing a staff of professional Clinic Administrators. His leadership is not only evident as a Director of the company but also as an owner-partner in the organization.

Lisa is the Coding Manager and Compliance Officer at Idaho Emergency Physicians.  She has worked in the healthcare field for nineteen years, sixteen of which have been with Idaho Emergency Physicians.  Lisa has been a member of MGMA since 2002, received her CMPE in 2007 and has been an IMGMA member for many years.  She enjoys working with other IMGMA members and especially takes pleasure in her volunteer work over the past several years with the IMGMA Annual Conference Committee and now on the Board of Directors as teh Member at Large.

Brett La Peter joined IMGMA as the Administrator in December of 2009. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Psychology and a Minor in Spanish from Whitman College. Brett has a background in both the non-profit and business sectors. She has worked at Big Brothers Big Sisters, an organization that provides mentors for some of our community's most vulnerable youth, in both the program and fund-development departments.

Brett has worked with several different non-profit Board of Directors, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Junior League of Boise, and the Steering Committee for The Bridge. She is excited about the opportunity to join IMGMA and brings with her many assets to aid in the development of the organization, including strengths in strategic planning, governance, member recruitment and retention, event planning, and sales.
