The benefits of the annual IMGMA membership include:

Meetings

The IMGMA holds a state conference each Fall. The site of the meeting rotates between Boise and other Idaho locales. The program for the meeting consists of a combination of general sessions featuring nationally and regionally known speakers along with breakout sessions, roundtable workshops and panel discussions. The evening social events are fun as well, and provide a great way to meet peers from around the state. The association also keeps its members informed of other educational events by maintaining a calendar of events on this website.

Wage and Salary Survey

Each year the IMGMA commissions an independent survey of wages and salaries across a variety of different positions within medical practices in Idaho. The survey is available each Fall free of charge to members who participate. There will be a charge for members who chose not to participate.

Scholarship

The IMGMA offers a $1,000 scholarship annually. The scholarship may be used by members to attend regional or national continuing education offerings, or to pursue undergraduate or graduate tudies in the field of healthcare administration.

Networking

Upon joining the association members receive a Membership Directory. The directory includes a listing of all members, a description of the size and specialty of the member’s medical office, as well as telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. The directory is a great way to determine whom to contact to network on particular issues. Also included is a Business Partner directory. IMGMA’s business partners support the association’s efforts through sponsorship of its activities throughout the year. Because of their generous support the IMGMA is able to present its wide range of benefits for a very low cost to members.

Legislation

The IMGMA, in coordination with the Idaho Medical Association and the MGMA has an advocacy program. IMGMA keeps its members updated on state and national legislative activity, promotes grass roots advocacy and lobbying, and encourages members to keep in contact with elected officials.
