About IMGMA

The Idaho Medical Group Management Association (IMGMA) is a professional association of administrators and managers from a variety of medical practices and facilities throughout Idaho. We are affiliated with Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the national group dedicated to the management of medical practices.

Our association began in the late 1970's as a number of loosely organized clinic manager groups from around the state, the IMGMA became a formal unified organization in 1983 when it sponsored the MGMA's Western Section (10 states) meeting at Sun Valley.

Our goal is to provide education, communication and advocacy to benefit Idaho medical practices, physicians, and their managers. We do this by providing educational seminars, newsletters and publications concerning issues of interest to medical practice managers as well as to promote contacts among these professionals. To keep up with changes in government regulations, private insurance and business practices, general management information and human resource issues, the IMGMA provides a powerful network of information and education to today’s medical managers.

Governance

IMGMA has a volunteer board of directors elected by the membership. The board officers are the President, President Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, and Immediate Past President. Each board member serves one year in each office, for a total board tenure of four years. The Board also includes one Director position with a two-year term, one Director position with a one-year term, and one Member-at-Large position with a one-year term.
